- The Radiochemical Center becomes part of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority at Amersham and Harwell, England.

- Buchler site becomes the first privately operated radioisotope laboratory in Germany.

- Distribution agreement for radioactive products between Radiochemical Center in the U.K. and Buchler & Company in Germany.

- Partnership formed between Amersham and G D Searle in the U.S. to form Amersham/Searle.

- Radiochemical Center becomes a private company and establishes Amersham Buchler subsidiary in Braunschweig, Germany.

- Wholly - owned subsidiaries established in the U.S., Australia, France, and the Netherlands.

- First company to use laser welding to produce sealed radioactive sources for medical and industrial applications.

- AEA Technology plc. begins production of Yttrium-90 for clinical use, and provides this product to developers of radioimmunotherapy agents in the UK and Europe.

- QSA divested by Amersham and acquired by AEA Technology plc, headquartered at Harwell.

2001

- QSA began the production of Strontium-90 sources for use in clinical trials for the Novoste 3.5F Beta Cath product for the treatment of in-stent restenosis following angioplasty.

- First use of Auriga Medical brand at Society of Nuclear Medicine Mid-Winter Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

- QSA divested by AEA Technology plc and acquired by Coller Capital, the leading global investor in private equity secondaries. Auriga Medical is now a brand of QSA Global.
